Changelog
v0.1.0 — 2026-10-24
First release: German e-invoices — XRechnung 3.0 and ZUGFeRD / Factur-X (EN 16931) — for a seller in Germany, issued from Medusa v2.
npm install @normwerk/einvoice-medusa @normwerk/einvoice-model @normwerk/einvoice-commerce @normwerk/einvoice-ciiStart with the quickstart. Before turning the plugin on, the dry run shows what it would do with your own past orders, issuing nothing. Which buyers are supported: supported countries.
Packages
@normwerk/einvoice-medusa— the Medusa v2 plugin (Medusa 2.12–2.15, and 2.18 or a later 2.x release): an invoice when an order is fulfilled, for what that shipment ships, and a credit note referencing it when the order is refunded or cancelled; XML, or a PDF/A-3 hybrid from the bundled renderer or the shop's own PDF; documents stored privately, downloadable in Medusa Admin and by the customer through the Store API; a refused document shows its reason and code in the order's "E-Invoices" block and can be issued again.@normwerk/einvoice-commerce— an order, a refund or a cancellation into an EN 16931 invoice or credit note: the VAT category of every line with the rule that decided it, German rates by date of supply, OSS destination rates, credit notes at the rates of the invoice they correct, sequential numbering; what it cannot decide correctly it refuses with a stable code. Platform-agnostic.@normwerk/einvoice-cii— the CII D16B XML, EN 16931 and XRechnung 3.0 profiles, byte-identical for the same input.@normwerk/einvoice-pdfa— PDF/A-3b ZUGFeRD / Factur-X hybrids, a check whether a PDF can become PDF/A, and a plain invoice renderer.@normwerk/einvoice-model— the EN 16931 model as TypeScript types, generated from the official CEN artifacts, with code lists, a JSON Schema and stable error codes.@normwerk/einvoice-conformance— development tooling: the official validators (KoSIT, Mustang, veraPDF) in Docker, and the second step of the plugin's dry run.
Each package's changes are in its own CHANGELOG.md.
Conformance
conformance-report.md, attached, is every conformance level run against this tag before anything was published: the fixtures through the KoSIT Validator, PDF/A-3b through veraPDF and Mustang, two independent generators compared, and Mustang reading the XML back. Validators check a document's structure and business rules, not whether the VAT category, rate or exemption is the right one for a sale — that is what tax semantics covers. Not tax advice.
